Hello all!
So I'm circling around getting a legit pairing off the ground. The pairing I'm looking at is probably Caine3/Maddox, and here is the start of my Maddox list. I need to know if there is anything glaringly missing from it, aside from another unit of Stormlances, which I will probably eventually pick up, but not until after I've bought and assembled the magnetized Hurricane/Stormwall kit I need for my Caine list.
Major Beth Maddox (Storm Division) -Squire (Free) -Brickhouse -Ironclad Lieutenant Allison Jakes -Stormclad Journeyman Warcaster -Firefly Major Katherine Laddermore Stormlances (Full) Stormblade Infantry -UA (Free) -Stormgunner
I guess the real variations I see on this are as follows, and I would love the opinions of people who get to play the game more than I do on what is the best way of going about this.
Variation 1: Squire or Stormblade Captain or Arlan Strangewayes: I feel like the Squire is the slightly better call here, as it let's me upkeep three spells and fully load my jacks on feat turn, but outside of that, I'm not sure if the extra focus gets me that much, and if one focus is super important, is it better served coming off of Strangewayes instead of the Squire, as he has more uses then just 'hand out a focus, and make the feat bubble a little larger.' The other side would be the Stormblade Captain for a better fighter, and more options when moving around my infantry and Cav.
Variation 2: Stormclad or Centurion and 2nd Storm Gunner (the list is currently 1 point down right now): I feel like, until I get a second unit of Stormlances, Jakes running a heavy is going to be my second line of defense. It really depends on whether or not it's a surprisingly nimble Stormclad to take focus well and dish out the pain, or Centurion to just hold a zone.
Anyway, what do people think? Am I on the right track? Am I way off the mark? Let me know.

Squire seems important to me for Maddox, as it allowed her to play safer in the back with +2" Control Range. These +2" CTRL RNG are welcome for her feat as well.
I found that I like having some shooting options with her, to help deliver Storm-stuff.. my current list (after a lot of variations) :
Cygnar Army - 74 / 75 points [Theme] Storm Division
(Maddox 1) Major Beth Maddox [+30] - Stormclad [18] - Stormclad [18] - Charger [9] - Squire [0(5)] Captain Arlan Strangewayes [4] Journeyman Warcaster [4] - Charger [9] Major Katherine Laddermore [8] Storm Lances (max) [20] Stormblade Infantry [10] - Stormblade Infantry Officer & Standard [0(5)] - Stormblade Infantry Storm Gunner (2) [4]
I love Sniped Charger(s) with her ! A Stormclad could be as well swapped for a Defender + a third Stormgunner, for even more long-range shooting options.

Boogy, I actually like this list a lot more than mine. I might steal it and just swap out one Stormclad for Brickhouse, A: Because I only own one Stormclad, and B: I want to give Brickhouse a test run.
...Or I might drop one of the chargers for a firefly so that I can pick up the third gunner and run an even 75.

Yes, I thought about "downgrading" Charger for Firefly, in order to get the third gunner.. but I want this list be able to play against Cygnar Storm Division (except Haley2) and Skorne (Archidon)... and non-elec shooting are needed.
Brickhouse seems interesting too (his capacity to lockdown models in his melee range is very nice)! I don't have him for now, but I htink it's a very decent option in this list.

Anyway, what do people think? Am I on the right track? Am I way off the mark? Let me know. I have a lot of games with Betsy and I think there is one change I'm super sold on and a second that I think is interesting. 1: I'd swap out the Ironclad for a Hammersmith. Assail makes the Hammersmith a late game slamming monster! +2 Movement and +2 Slam distance is fantastic. Make sure you read and reread all the rules regarding slams. 2: I'd consider swapping Jakes for a Stormblade Captain and the Squire for Strangeways. I'm less sold on this but Betsy doesn't need a Squire like other casters. With Assail on a marshaled Stormclad it doesn't lose anything but gains +2 Strength, getting it to a sweet, sweet PS21 or PS24 (!!!!) on feat. With a free charge, a focus from Arlan, a Focus from Storm buddies, and the Crush order; the Marshalled Stormclad seems pretty baller.

JM loses out on the ability to shake conditions.

JM loses out on the ability to shake conditions. I guess... It just doesn't seem to come up that often.

I wonder if a lot of that has to do with not many people playing JM so not a lot of people know the rules around it. I think if you see more use people will be more familiar and target the JM with blind, knockdown, or any of the other stuff. I tried out JM a lot when MKIII was first released. I really like Hammer Smiths and Stormclads with JM and with the focus from Arlan you can really crank the damage.
