Looks like potentially doubling boxes and increasing use of them in upcoming CID cycles. Is there anything other than quantity of attacks that you'd like to see out of our AT-AT Death Star?

A reliable way to get power tokens. I feel like with an increase in boxes, its survivability goes way up due to pushing things out of melee range before it gets one rounded. If it started with 3 power tokens OR got power tokens for being hit by an electrical attack (or SOMETHING more than just "get hit by the enemy"), that would go a long ways towards it having meaningful presence on the board every turn.

I could see losing the power tokens for something like "Small based storm knights gain +2 defense vs ranged and magic attacks within x range" If they don't lose power tokens then another way to gain them. Maybe D3 if you have less then 3 like the Circle stones. If they keep the points about the same its like they have doubled the value of the battle engine just by doubling its boxes.

I think we will end with 32 boxes, that's a +10, which will be ok. A D3 Power Token if the BE have none would be fine - or some other mechanic to get some without beeing hit by an enemy attack. And a little bit support - the +2 DEF against range would be nice. Or something like "electric immunity" within 5". I could even think of something like the ability from the Hurricane, that forbids flight.

I'm very excited about the idea of this model in CID. It'd be nice if stormcallers could stormcall it for a power token. Also why doesn't it act as a point for surge and triangulation too?

I'm not sure how else the strider would support us. It does a fine job as is, if it gets 10~ health I think it will be fine.

The unreliability of its guns still leaves something to desire. I'm down for "when this model is hit with an electric type attack, it gains 1 power token".
The whole "my model gets stronger when you hit it" thing isn't really in line with Cygnaran stuff. It's more like a hordes thing (grymkin in particular).

I am not sure what you could add offensive wise that would not push it over the top, I would be happy with the extra boxes and a points reduction

I am not sure what you could add offensive wise that would not push it over the top, I would be happy with the extra boxes and a points reduction I mostly agree with that sentiment, it's pretty much got the ranged offensive output of a stormwall, 2xpow15s, and 2xd3 pow 10s. All it needs is a reliable way to get tokens and it's offensive output would be very respectable. Also just looking at it it would make sense if it could trample, but that's a fight for another day.

I'm super excited for the Strider to get in CID. It's a great model and it likely can't get worse. Getting more boxes certainly helps and will likely let it get two turns of being beat on.
Considering CID can change models completely I'd love if just got completely scrapped and retooled entirely. Possibilities?
Grants concealment to warrior models with electric immunity/Stormsmith models Becomes a triangulation point (why the Stormblade standard got this and the Strider did not is bewildering to me.) Leaps become POW12 Gets tokens in some other fashion then it does now.

I LOVE the fact that PP has given "Concepts" in the CID, as it gives us an idea of what they want that model to do. With that, I'm very curious what rules will "have" to be there. My guess is the Super Conduction rule is one that needs to stay. Other than that, I'm kind of doubtful that the Repulsor Field + Kinectic Accumulator is a core ideal to the model, but I'm ready to be surprised, haha.
My list of things I'd love for it to have are: - Some better, more dependable, way of gaining power tokens (like: when hit with electricity OR gain d3 power tokens during control phase OR something) - Defensive buff to electrical immune models. I really like the concealment idea. - Any other type of buff. I would very much like for the Storm Strider to not just be a gun platform with a quirky RAT fixer for electrical damage. Make it DO something besides just shoot lightning, haha.

Something that can blow up all of CoC's drones in a turn then emit an entertaining laugh would be good enough for me.

I think PP have stated that they are not looking to change any of the BE's points costs at this time. So realistically we are looking at more health boxes, which make sense seeing as it is a giant stompy spider walker. Anything we get on top of more boxes is gravy. I have played double strider a few times and they can work really well but you have to base your whole list around them

Having just come from a month and a half of Grymkin land, I can say that so far the CID has been a great experience. The dev team has been super intregrated in the conversation, and responsive to both critique and trying new things. So, whatever the Strider ends up with, I'm pretty well confident it will be at least satisfactory.
